As part of our proactive effort to promote secondary preventative medicine, we offer different medical checkups including cancer screening, cardiovascular screening, comprehensive health screenings and brain screening.
We detect cancer at an early stage primarily with PET-CT scanning combined with MRI, ultrasound and blood testing among other tests.
As its name suggests, the PET-CT is a machine that integrates PET (positron emission tomography) with CT (computed tomography). The PET-CT can detect small cancers around 1 cm that were previously undetectable and enables the early treatment of cancer. The machine is invaluable in detecting the presence and size of a tumor, evaluating whether a tumor is benign or malignant and diagnosing the level of malignancy of a tumor. It is very useful in determining the method of treatment and the treatment area.
A PET-CT can perform whole-body cancer screenings (from the neck down to the upper part of the thigh).
The scan is painless (the only discomfort you may feel is the slight pin prick from the injection of the pharmaceutical) and provides a highly precise diagnosis in a short amount of time.
Cancer is the number one cause of death for the Japanese. Together, we can cultivate a “healthy life” through early stage detection and treatment.
